PRAYER FOR DIRECTION

“You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” - Psalm 16:11

The Word of God is our constant compass for direction in life. His Word promises to be the lamp for our feet and the light for our path (Psalm 119:105). It’s so easy to let the way the world is going and the opinions and expectations of others dictate the decisions we make in life. God has a purpose and a plan for each of our individual lives, and it’s crucial that we press into Him for the direction He wants our lives to go in.

“The call of God on your life will cost others” - unknown

It’s inevitable that others will not fully understand the path God has for your life, and that’s ok. I encourage you to pursue Him and the plans He has for your life regardless of what anyone says or thinks. We cannot be bound by the opinions of other people; we have to be tethered to God’s heart and seek to honor and please Him with every decision we make, letting Him lead, guide and direct us every moment of every day.

I have had so many times in my life where God called me to step out of my proverbial boat and do things that others simply didn’t understand. I had to boldly move forward, trusting that I heard His voice clearly and let Him walk with me, even when I felt like I was completely alone and misunderstood. I pray that as you press into Him in prayer and dive into His Word, that He would reveal the specific plans and direction He has for your life and that you would step boldly into those things without hesitation or trepidation. You were created to make an impact in this world in a way that only you can, and the rest of us are waiting for you to do and be all that God created you for!

Prayer Declaration:

I will press into God’s Word and presence, waiting in expectation for Him to reveal His plans for me. I believe that His Word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. I will fully trust Him and step out boldly into all that He has created me for because I was born “for such a time as this”.
